Welcome to Langlois Oregon!
This quaint community is located between milepost 287 and 288 along Oregon’s fabulous Oregon Coast Highway 101.
Lively defines this community! Langlois Market is the gathering spot for local farmers and ranchers, all looking for a quick bite to eat before heading back into the fields. The market delivers some pretty fine hot dogs, with special mustard, for which they are famous, and a great selection of other sandwiches and groceries. You can even fill your growler with local craft beers.
Langlois (according to phonetically spelled census records and many old-timers is pronounced “Langless” after an early family that settled here in the early 1800s), also boasts several small stores: Inga’s Studio 2, a small shop with all kinds of handcrafted clothing and knitwear; an Antique Store; B & B Farm Supply for pet and agricultural needs; and soon a coffee shop will open with locally created coffee blends. The Greasy Spoon, also a well known stop, is now known as “The Spoon” and serves up meals prepared with locally sourced food products from beef to eggs, lettuce, tuna and more.
Think this covers it all? There is Piercy Suites Vacation Rental and Floras Lake Bed & Breakfast to handle your overnight stay, as you really do want to spend some time on Floras Lake and the Beach, and we have a fabulous Library if you need to check your email, and read up on the latest news.
